The illustrations use the construction of a bridge to visualize, the differences between the two types of managers and how both management styles can be brought together and complement each other. The illustrations were created for a special issue of the magazine on the anniversary of the Harvard Business School with texts by famous professors. The figure in the first illustration is a portrait of Abraham Zaleznik. He wrote the text in 1977 to criticize the manager training at the time, which neglected the teaching of leadership qualities such as inspiration, vision, and passion.
